NewJeans’ Fans ‘Team Bunnies’ Update on National Assembly Audit: Bang Si Hyuk Not Called as Witness

On October 12 KST, 'Team Bunnies,' a dedicated streaming team supporting the popular girl group NewJeans, provided an important update regarding the upcoming comprehensive audit by the National Assembly's Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee.

Earlier this month, 'Team Bunnies' took action by organizing a "fax bombing" campaign to urge the committee to summon Bang Si Hyuk, the chairman of HYBE Labels, as a witness. This initiative was part of an effort to address the ongoing conflict between HYBE and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, a situation that has raised numerous questions among fans and industry insiders alike.

As of October 10 KST, the Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee has finalized its witness nominations. Notably, Bang Si Hyuk was not selected to testify during the audit, much to the disappointment of 'Team Bunnies.'

In their statement, 'Team Bunnies' clarified, “Hello, this is Team Bunnies. Previously, on October 10 and September 24, we requested HYBE Labels Chairman Bang Si Hyuk to attend the comprehensive audit. Unfortunately, he was not chosen as a witness because he is currently in the United States.

“However, it is important to note that many unresolved issues surrounding HYBE came to light during the audit on the 7th, leading to a general agreement that further questioning is necessary. As a result, Kim Tae Ho, HYBE’s COO, will represent the company as the selected witness.”

They also urged their followers to stop submitting additional witness requests to allow them to focus on preparing for the audit. The team ended their message with a biting remark aimed at Bang Si Hyuk, saying, “It seems you have time to enjoy hamburgers and laugh in the U.S. with people half your age, even if you’re too busy for the National Assembly audit.”

This isn’t the first time Bang Si Hyuk has been spotted in the United States with younger companions. In August, he was seen walking in Los Angeles with AfreecaTV BJ Juice Seyeon and her sister, stirring up discussions among fans and observers.

As news of the audit update spread, netizens shared their thoughts online. Here are some comments reflecting their views:
